How can we help?

One of the seven questions in The Coaching Habit is The Lazy Question: “How can I help?”

It doesn’t sound lazy, does it? It sounds like it’s asking for trouble, or at the least more work.

But the power of the question is that it forces an explicit request to be made. “How can I help?” or its blunter cousin, “What do you want from me?” lays down the gauntlet and says: “Make your request loud and clear, so I can say Yes or No or Maybe!”

All of which to say, here’s your chance to tell me what you want. Hold nothing back!
