Ta da!
My new book How to Work with (Almost) Anyone is ready for you
I’ve been hinting and murmuring and whispering about this for a while in the newsletter, but I can give it a good old shout now. Huzzah! The book is here.
Go on, check things out: BestPossibleRelationship.com 😁
It’s written for any of you who work with or interact with other human beings, and sometimes think to yourself: I wish this (working) relationship could be a little better/ stronger/ safer/ more fun/ more vital/ more repairable.
Because who we work and how we work with them has a RIDICULOUSLY large influence on our happiness and success at work. Let me make the point.
Think of the best working relationships you’ve had. How you felt encouraged, supported, challenged. You somehow figured out together how to bring out the best in each other, and magic happened.
And now think of the worst working relationship. How frustrating and demoralizing and diminishing an experience it was. How you lost confidence, lost your sense of self, lost your sense of purpose.
Wouldn’t it be good to have more of the former types of working relationships, and fewer of the latter? He asks rhetorically. Because … yes, yes it would.
You’ll be hearing a fair bit about this book in the coming two months … don’t worry, I’ll be useful and helpful about it, not just desperate and nagging you for help 🥺
You’ll see a list of the 10 things the book will help you with on the page here (just scroll down). But meantime …
How I hope you’ll help me help you help 10 million relationships
You can see the goal I’ve set for this book. It’s not to make a best-seller list (although that would be nice) or to sell a ton (also nice). It’s to improve 10 million working relationships.
I hope you’ll be able to help me.
Two things you might consider doing right away are:
- Check out the bonuses and decide to buy a couple of copies of the book (one for you, one for the person you want to build a Best Possible Relationship with. You’ll notice that we’ve pre-loaded the early order bonuses to make two copies the easiest choice.)
- Consider becoming one of The 108 Irregulars. That’s the name of our “ambassador” or “street team” program, people who are willing to commit to posting a review, sharing news of the book, and just generally helping get the word out. There are some special bonuses and gifts for the 108i’s …
Thanks for letting me boast about How to Work with (Almost) Anyone. I think it’s good. So does Brené Brown:
My favorite thing about Michael’s work is his ability to deliver actionable, tactical strategies that are based on well researched ideas and data, then packaged in a book that I can read on a flight. And, the wisdom is real – it sticks. I haven’t stopped thinking about “Best Possible Relationships” and “Keystone Conversations.”
~ Brené Brown, PhD. New York Times bestselling author of Atlas of the Heart and Dare to Lead.
